McFadden Ranch, Roanoke, Denton County, TX is an elaborate correction facility for male prisoners located at 3505 North Haynes Road, Roanoke, TX, 76262. Texas Department of Corrections started its operations in 1983

The McFadden Ranch safeguarded inside a perimeter wall featured with razor wire and a robust fence as part of security measures. Added to this are 24/7 watchful security personnel who place in firearms.

Visiting Hours:

For the LHU-I inmate group, the visits at McFadden Ranch are on Fridays and Sundays between 9 pm- 4 pm. Saturdays and Sundays are ordinary visiting days between 6pm and 4 pm. Saturday visits include children; however, it’s strictly for adults on Sunday.

However, based on the McFadden Ranch’s visitation rules, only five or fewer visitors can meet an inmate at a time. Similarly, they can only bring not more than $42split in small bills for the inmates in their visits. Usually, the money is for use in the selling machines.

Other rules at McFadden Ranch that apply cut across most prison facilities. These include:

  1. Approved to be in McFadden Ranch visitors’ list

All visitors in McFadden Ranch must therefore book an appointment before the day of the visit. The qualifications considered for approval relate to; closeness to the inmate, relationship, and clean background checks. 

  1. Proper dressing code – no scanty dresses or suggestive ones; otherwise, no entry. The McFadden Ranch only welcomes decently dressed people. One should appear professional in their dress code.
  2. Escaping contraband items at McFadden Ranch

There are a lot of prisons that consider contrabands. The very common of these are drugs, sharp objects, cameras, ropes, pipes, etc. It is only to confirm the specific items before coming to visit McFadden Ranch.
